Abstract

Perubahan ekositem menjadi ancaman bagi kehidupan udang dikawasasan aliran sungai gunung selatan. Meskipun telah dilakukan berbagai penelitian, informasi mengenai morfometrik M. scabriculum penting dilakukan untuk mengetahui perbedaan antar spesies di daerah aliran Sungai Gunung Selatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisi morfometrik M. scabriculum dikawasan aliran sungai gunung selatan.  Pengambilan sampel di tiga lokasi yang berbeda dan melakukan pengukuran morfometrik, termasuk panjang total, panjang sefalotoraks, dan berat badan. Analisis pengukuran terdiri dari nilai rata-rata, rentang dan standar deviasi (±SE) dari setiap individu. Selanjutnya, hubungan panjang-berat udang dianalisi menggunakan regresi linier. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata panjang keseluruhan jantan dan betina menunjukkan perbedaan yang cukup besar di antara kedua jenis kelamin.  Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa jantan memiliki ukuran fisik yang lebih besar, yang mungkin meningkatkan keberhasilan reproduksi dan daya saing. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang signifikan untuk pengelolaan dan konservasi sumber daya perairan.
