Problem Oriented Project Based Learning Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar dan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa

Penilitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh siswa yang lebih menitikberatkan pemahaman instrumental dibandingkan dengan pemahaman relasional yang lebih terfokus pada konsep dari konten materi yang disampaikan. Akibatnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa menjadi kurang terasah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis serta hasil belajar siswa melalui implementasi Problem Oriented Project Based Learning (POPBL). Subjek penelitian ini 32 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan, dengan rata-rata berkisar 81-89 dari rata-rata siklus I yang berkisar 71-89. Selaras dengan hal tersebut, hasil belajar siswa pada siklus II juga mengalami peningkatan dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,9 (tinggi) dari siklus I dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,6 (sedang). Didasarkan pada hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi POPBL meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa.
