Author Guidelines

1. General Requirements

Authors submitting manuscripts to HEXAGON: Jurnal Rekayasa Infrastruktur must ensure that:

  1. The manuscript is an original work and has not been previously published or submitted to another journal.
  2. All authors have contributed significantly and approved the submitted manuscript.
  3. The manuscript follows research ethics principles and is free from plagiarism, data fabrication, and data manipulation.
  4. The manuscript must be submitted through the journal's online submission system.

2. Article Scope

HEXAGON accepts original research articles, review articles, and technical notes related to infrastructure engineering, including:

  • Structural Engineering;
  • Construction Materials;
  • Geotechnical Engineering;
  • Transportation Engineering;
  • Water Resources Engineering;
  • Construction Management;
  • Sustainable and Smart Infrastructure.

3. Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be prepared using the journal template with the following structure:

  1. Title
    Clear, concise, and representative of the research topic.
  2. Author Information
    Include author names, affiliations, and corresponding author's email address.
  3. Abstract
    A maximum of 250 words containing background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
  4. Keywords
    Provide 3–6 relevant keywords.
  5. Main Text
    • Introduction
    • Literature Review (if applicable)
    • Materials and Methods
    • Results and Discussion
    • Conclusions
  6. References

4. Formatting Requirements

Manuscripts must comply with the following format:

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx);
  • Paper size: A4;
  • Font: Times New Roman, 11 pt;
  • Single spacing;
  • Figures and tables must be numbered and properly referenced in the manuscript.

5. References and Citation

Authors should use recent and relevant scientific references.

Authors must ensure that:

  • All cited references are included in the reference list;
  • All references are cited in the manuscript;
  • Primary scientific sources are prioritized.

Reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote is recommended.
