Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The procedure for writing a template for the Electrical and Computational Engineering Journal (ELKOM) is as follows:

1. Title

Journal of Electrical and Computational Engineering (ELKOM) templates use sentence case (Initially Big letters) in Times New Roman style (Center, Bold, 16pt).

2. Author

Author The names of the first, second, and so on authors use the Times New Roman style with a size of 10pt, while the origin of the institution uses a size of 9pt.

3. Abstract

Abstract writing using Times New Roman font with a size of  10pt and printed in capital letters & bold all for the title. In addition, the writing of the abstract was done 2x, in Indonesian and English at 9pt in size.

4. Introduction

The introduction to the title is written in Times New Roman font with a size of 10pt, in this menu contains (1) research background; (2) research objectives; and (3) research objectives and research contribution (benefits); Don't forget to do the citation by creating a reference or reference number and use this way of citing [3] [4]. Reference sources [3] and [4] must be included in the list of references. The beginning of the paragraph is one tab (adjusted). Don't forget to give a space between the subsection and the first sentence in the paragraph.

5. Literature Review

The literature review is written in Times New Roman font with a size of 10pt, in this menu discusses previous theories and research related to research topics that are the logical basis for developing research hypotheses including the research conceptual framework. You may use numeral numbering with 2 level limitation as in the following example: 2.1. Escrowed Encryption Standard Don't forget to do the citations as before [2]. 2.2. Fair Diffie-Hellman If there is a formula or formula, don't forget to use the equation number (right justified, by providing the number that is preceded by regular brackets). Use standard symbols.

6. Research Methods

The research method title is written in Times New Roman font with a size of 10pt. This menu includes data and data collection techniques, research models, variable operational definitions and data analysis methods. You can use multilevel numbering if necessary. Don't forget to provide the title and figure number (below the picture and ordered number) as well as the table title and number (above the table with ordered numbers).

7. Results and Discussion

Results and Discussion The title is written in Times New Roman font with a size of 10pt, in this menu the results and discussion of the research carried out are written.

8. Conclusion

Conclusion The title is written in Times New Roman font with a size of 10pt, in this menu you write your findings or conclusions, limitations and suggestions here. If you feel the conclusions need to be numbered, feel free to use the normal way.

9. References

For reference using citation applications, such as MENDELEY, ENDNOTE, AND MISCELLANEOUS. [serial number] Last Name, Initial., Journal Year, Article Title, Article Name, Vol. XX, No. 99, Month (if any), page number where the paper is located. [serial number] Last Name, Initial., Year of publication, Book Title, Edition, Volume (if any), Publisher, City. If the author of the book or the author of the article is more than one person, you list them aside in the same way as the first author. You may make it in a table format so that the reference numbers and names can be aligned.

10. Author Biography

The author's biography is written in Times New Roman font at 10pt size. In this menu, the writer writes a brief bio along with the research topic being carried out, besides that the author is expected to include a photo in this menu.
