Journal History

JUSTINDO is a scientific journal managed by the Informatics Engineering Study Program, Universitas Muhammadiyah Jember, serving as a medium for publishing research articles in the field of systems and information technology.

This journal is published twice a year, in February and August.

  • 2016: The year JUSTINDO was established, with Mr. Wiwik Suharso, M.Kom. as the first Editor in Chief. Initially, the journal was published in both print and online formats, but it did not yet have an ISSN.
  • 2017: JUSTINDO obtained its ISSN (p-ISSN 2502-5724 and e-ISSN 2541-5735).
  • 2018: The article format was revised, especially the header and footer; ISSN information (print and online) was added to the footer.
  • 2019:
    • The position of Editor-in-Chief was transferred to Ms. Qurrota A’yun, M.Pd.
    • Activation of DOI registration for all published articles.
  • 2020:
  • The initial manuscript screening process became more structured — only articles that met the journal’s focus and passed plagiarism checking (maximum 25%) were forwarded to the review stage.
  • The journal was submitted for SINTA accreditation and achieved SINTA Rank 4 accreditation
  • 2021: Volume 6, Issue 2 introduced updates to the journal template, particularly in the header section.
  • 2022: The journal applied for SINTA re-accreditation and maintained its SINTA Rank 4 accreditation.
  • 2023:
    • JUSTINDO migrated to OJS version 3.
    • Volume 8, Issue 1 introduced the latest version of the journal template.
  • 2025: In May 2025, the journal submitted its second SINTA re-accreditation application.
