Abstract

Atlet renang perguruan tinggi menghadapi berbagai tuntutan akademik dan olahraga yang
berpotensi memengaruhi kondisi psikologis, khususnya dalam menjaga keseimbangan antara
stres dan stress recovery. Pengelolaan yang tepat terhadap tuntutan tersebut menjadi penting
untuk mempertahankan psychological well-being serta performa atlet. Penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk menguji hubungan antara psychological well-being dan stress recovery pada atlet
renang perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif dengan pendekatan
korelasional. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 26 atlet renang perguruan tinggi yang dipilih
menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Ryff Scales of

Psychological Well-Being (PWB) dan Recovery-Stress Questionnaire for Athletes (RESTQ-
Sport-36). Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product-Moment dengan

bantuan SPSS versi 27. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan
antara psychological well-being dan stress recovery (r = 0,442; p = 0,024), yang termasuk
dalam kategori hubungan sedang. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat
psychological well-being atlet, semakin baik pula kemampuan stress recovery yang dimiliki.
Namun demikian, psychological well-being bukan satu-satunya faktor yang memengaruhi stress
recovery, karena terdapat faktor lain seperti kondisi fisik, kualitas istirahat, serta dukungan
sosial. Oleh karena itu, pelatih dan institusi pendidikan perlu mengintegrasikan aspek psikologis
dalam program pembinaan atlet guna mendukung kesejahteraan dan performa secara optimal.
