Dissemination And Simulation Of The Annual Member’s Meeting (RAT) Process: Human Resource Development To Enhance The Rural Economic Strengthening Program At KDMP Balongmojo

Abstract

Koperasi Desa Merah Putih (KDMP) is a strategic instrument for strengthening rural economies through modern, participatory, and locally based cooperative governance. This community service program aimed to improve the capacity of administrators and members of KDMP Balongmojo in understanding and implementing the Annual Member Meeting (RAT), cooperative governance, and business management. The program employed a participatory approach through initial coordination, interactive dissemination, RAT simulation, evaluation using pre-test and post-test, monitoring of KDMP store governance, and follow-up assistance in disseminating information about KDMP to the local community. The evaluation results showed an increase in the participants’ average score from 41 in the pre-test to 82 in the post-test. The highest improvement occurred in understanding RAT meeting mechanisms and procedures, indicating that the combination of dissemination and direct simulation effectively strengthened participants’ technical understanding. Monitoring and follow-up activities also encouraged administrators to apply governance principles in managing KDMP business units and communicating the cooperative’s benefits and services to the community. Overall, the program strengthened human resource capacity, cooperative governance, and community participation as foundations for supporting sustainable rural economic development
