Correction Retraction & Withdrawal
Correction, Retraction, and Article Withdrawal Policy - Jurnal Ilmiah Akuntansi Indonesia (JIAI)
Jurnal Ilmiah Akuntansi Indonesia (JIAI) is dedicated to maintaining the integrity and permanence of the scholarly record. To handle errors, fraudulent data, ethical violations, and premature submissions appropriately, JIAI strictly adheres to the international guidelines and flowcharts established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Retractions, Corrections, and Expressions of Concern.
1. Corrections and Errata
When honest errors or inadvertent omissions are discovered in a published article that affect the publication record or the scientific accuracy of the findings without invalidating the core results, JIAI will publish a formal correction note. In accordance with the COPE Guidelines on Corrections, the correction will be linked directly to the original article to ensure proper indexing and transparency for all readers.

2. Retraction Policy
Articles will be officially retracted in cases of severe ethical misconduct, such as clear plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, major redundant publication, or compromised peer review integrity. JIAI follows the rigorous procedures outlined in the COPE Flowchart on Retraction of Articles, ensuring that a prominent retraction notice is permanently attached to the article while maintaining the original file with a clear watermark.

3. Article Withdrawal
Article withdrawal applies strictly to unrefereed manuscripts or papers that have been accepted for publication but are still in the early stages of production (e.g., online pre-prints or accepted manuscripts not yet assigned to an issue). Following the protocols recommended by the COPE Guidance on Article Withdrawal, withdrawal notices are issued only if the manuscript violates professional ethical codes, contains severe legal infractions, or is found to be a duplicate submission.

4. Expressions of Concern
If JIAI receives inconclusive evidence regarding possible research or publication misconduct by authors, or if there is reason to believe that an investigation will not be fair or conclusive, an Expression of Concern may be published. As detailed in the COPE Framework for Expressions of Concern, this mechanism serves to inform readers while awaiting definitive findings from institutional or independent investigations.
