AGRITROP: Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Pertanian (Journal of Agricultural Science) publishes original scientific articles and review articles covering tropical crop science, plant agrotechnology, crop improvement, sustainable crop production, plant protection, agricultural biotechnology, and related agricultural sciences.

The journal accepts:

1. Original Research Articles;
2. Review Articles.

All submitted manuscripts undergo editorial screening and peer review according to AGRITROP’s Peer Review Policy and Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.

Title

• Be concise and informative;
• Contain no more than 20 words;
• Clearly represent the research focus;
• Avoid unnecessary abbreviations.

Authors and Affiliations

• Full names of all authors;
• Institutional affiliations;
• Corresponding author information;
• ORCID ID (recommended).

AGRITROP recommends the use of the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT) to provide transparency regarding individual author contributions (CRediT, Contributor Roles Taxonomy).

Abstract

The abstract must contain 200–250 words and include Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.

Keywords

Authors should provide 3–6 keywords, scientific terms relevant to the research topic, and keywords that do not simply repeat words from the title.

Introduction

The Introduction should include scientific background, relevant literature, current knowledge gaps, research novelty, and objectives or hypotheses.

Materials and Methods

The Methods section must provide sufficient information to allow replication of the study, including research location and period, materials and instruments, experimental design, sampling procedures, data collection, and statistical analysis.

Results and Discussion

Results should present research findings clearly, supported by appropriate statistical analysis. The Discussion should interpret findings scientifically, compare results with previous research, explain scientific implications, and identify limitations where appropriate.

Conclusion

The conclusion should directly address research objectives, summarize major findings, and avoid unsupported claims.

Funding Statement

Authors must disclose all financial support received for the research, including funding organization, grant number (if available), and role of the funder.

Conflict of Interest Statement

Authors must disclose any financial, personal, professional, or institutional relationships that could influence or appear to influence the research.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Disclosure Statement

AGRITROP recognizes that artificial intelligence tools may assist authors in manuscript preparation; however, AI tools cannot replace human responsibility, scientific judgment, or accountability.

AI tools cannot be listed as authors because they cannot take responsibility for manuscript content, approve the final version, or participate in accountability for published work (COPE, Authorship and AI Tools).
