Author Guidelines

General Requirements
AGRITROP: Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Pertanian publishes Original Research Articles and Review Articles in tropical crop science, plant agrotechnology, and sustainable crop production.

Submitted manuscripts must:
• be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English;
• present original research;
• not have been published or be under review elsewhere;
• comply with the journal's Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy;
• follow the AGRITROP manuscript template.
 
Original Research Article
  • Title: concise, informative, maximum 20 words.
  • Authors and Affiliations: full names, affiliations, corresponding author, ORCID (recommended).
  • Abstract: 200–250 words covering Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
  • Keywords: 3–6 keywords, not repeating title words.
  • Introduction: background, literature, research gap, novelty, objectives.
  • Methods: sufficient detail for replication, design, materials, statistics.
  • Results and Discussion: present findings and interpret them with relevant literature.
  • Conclusion: concise and aligned with objectives.
  • Author Contributions (CRediT recommended).
  • References: APA 7th Edition using Mendeley/Zotero/EndNote; ≥80% from last 10 years; DOI where available.
 
Review Article
AGRITROP publishes critical and comprehensive Review Articles that provide significant scientific insights into current developments in tropical crop science and plant agrotechnology. Review articles should synthesize existing knowledge rather than merely summarize published literature. The manuscript should consist of:
  • Title
  • Authors and Affiliations
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Methods
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgements
  • References APA 7th Edition using Mendeley/Zotero/EndNote; ≥80% from last 10 years; DOI where available.

  • Figures minimum 300 dpi.
 
Units and Scientific Names
  • Use the International System of Units (SI).
  • Scientific names of species should be written in italics and include the authority when first mentioned, where appropriate.
Language
All manuscripts must be written in English using professional scientific language. Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to have their manuscripts edited by a professional English editing service before submission.
