Conflict of Interest

Transparency and objectivity are fundamental principles in academic publishing. Jurnal Penelitian IPTEKS requires all parties involved in the publication process—including authors, peer reviewers, and editorial board members—to explicitly declare any actual or potential conflicts of interest. A conflict of interest (or competing interest) exists when an individual has personal, financial, commercial, professional, or institutional relationships that could inappropriately influence, or be reasonably perceived to influence, their academic judgment or responsibilities.
Authors must disclose all sources of financial support, grants, or relevant affiliations upon manuscript submission. Reviewers are strictly required to decline invitations to evaluate manuscripts if they identify a conflict of interest, such as recent collaborations with the authors or direct financial ties to the research topic. Similarly, editors must recuse themselves from handling or making decisions on manuscripts in which they have a competing interest to ensure the peer review process remains completely unbiased. The journal actively enforces these disclosure requirements in strict accordance with the COPE guidelines on handling Competing Interests.
To promote maximum public transparency, the journal will publish a clear disclosure statement within all finalized articles, indicating whether any conflicts of interest exist (or explicitly stating if none were declared). This commitment to ethical openness guarantees that readers are fully informed when interpreting the research findings, adhering directly to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing and the overarching COPE Core Practices.
