Electronic Filing and Archiving
Jurnal Penelitian IPTEKS is dedicated to the long-term digital preservation and permanent availability of all its published scholarly content. To safeguard the scientific record, the journal utilizes secure electronic archiving systems, such as institutional repositories and established preservation networks (e.g., PKP Preservation Network, national digital library archives, or LOCKSS/CLOCKSS), ensuring that all articles remain continuously accessible to the global academic community even in the unlikely event that the journal ceases publication.
Providing a clear, reliable electronic backup and digital preservation strategy is a fundamental ethical obligation in academic publishing. This commitment to maintaining the persistent availability of published research strictly aligns with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, an ethical framework jointly developed and monitored by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Furthermore, the journal permits and encourages authors to electronically file and self-archive the final published versions of their articles in institutional or subject-based repositories. By promoting sustainable, transparent, and permanent access to digital records, the journal actively supports the responsible dissemination and preservation of knowledge in full accordance with the COPE Core Practices.
