JURNAL SPORT-MU: CORRECTION, RETRACTION & WITHDRAWAL POLICY

1. General Overview and Core Principles
Jurnal Sport-Mu is committed to preserving the integrity, completeness, and accuracy of the scholarly record in sports science, biomechanics, and physical education. In accordance with the standards articulated in the COPE Core Practices, the journal maintains transparent policies for handling manuscript withdrawals before publication, as well as article corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern post-publication.
All post-publication modifications or formal editorial actions follow evidence-based assessments, objective investigations, and procedural fairness as prescribed by the COPE Retraction Guidelines.

2. Manuscript Withdrawal Policy (Pre-Publication)
Manuscript withdrawal refers to the removal of an unpublished submission from the peer review or publication pipeline before it enters the public scholarly record. Authors who wish to withdraw their manuscript must submit a formal, written withdrawal request signed by all co-authors to the Editor-in-Chief, as mandated by the COPE Core Practices for Journal Management.
Authors must not request manuscript withdrawal to avoid an ongoing research ethics or integrity investigation, following the principles outlined in the COPE Guidance on Responding to Suspected Ethical Breaches.
Furthermore, withdrawing a manuscript after peer review has been completed or after formal acceptance without compelling justification is strongly discouraged under the COPE Core Practices, as it consumes substantial editorial and reviewer resources.

3. Article Correction Policy (Post-Publication)
3.1 Criteria for Issuing a Correction
A formal Correction (published as an Erratum or Corrigendum) is issued when a minor error, honest oversight, or misstatement occurs that does not invalidate the article's overall data, findings, or scientific conclusions. In alignment with the COPE Core Practices on Post-Publication Discussions and Corrections, corrections are published to ensure the scholarly literature remains reliable and transparent.
Minor inadvertent errors—such as typographical mistakes, author affiliation oversights, or small computational adjustments—are processed according to the COPE Guidance on Post-Publication Amendments.
3.2 Correction Formatting and Linking
Any Correction notice is published as a distinct, citable item assigned its own DOI, bidirectionally linked to the original article in compliance with the COPE Core Practices. Silent or undocumented substantive changes to published articles are strictly prohibited under the transparency principles of the COPE Core Practices.

4. Article Retraction Policy (Post-Publication)
4.1 Grounds for Retraction
Retraction is a formal mechanism reserved for invalidating published work that contains severely flawed data, fraudulent findings, major ethical breaches, or unresolvable plagiarism. In strict compliance with the official COPE Retraction Guidelines, ret
