Inclusion and Indexing

Indexing Transparency and Repository Inclusion: Journal Sport-Mu is committed to ensuring high discoverability, permanent accessibility, and maximum reach for all published sports science research. In alignment with the COPE Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, "Journals should clearly state on their website where their published content will be indexed or archived, including details of any repository services used". Journal Sport-Mu maintains full transparency regarding its current indexing statuses, abstracting services, and archiving agreements.
Accurate Representation of Indexing Status: To protect authors and researchers from misleading claims, COPE requires that journals avoid deceptive indexing metrics or false database claims. According to the COPE Guidance on Journal Transparency, "Journals must not display misleading information, including the claim of an impact factor or indexing status when such has not been officially granted". Journal Sport-Mu strictly lists only verified and active indexations, databases, and digital repositories where its articles are officially accepted and searchable.
Digital Archiving and Content Preservation: Long-term preservation of scientific research is essential to safeguard the academic record against loss. As outlined in the COPE Standards for Archiving and Archival Integrity, "A journal's plan for electronic backup and preservation of access to the journal content in the event a journal is no longer published shall be clearly indicated". Journal Sport-Mu ensures permanent digital preservation through established archiving platforms and digital preservation networks, guaranteeing open and continuous access to published manuscripts.
Persistent Identifiers and Metadata Standards: To facilitate seamless inclusion into international databases and indexing engines, Journal Sport-Mu implements standardized metadata practices. In accordance with COPE Guidance on Data and Metadata Integrity, journals are advised that "rich metadata, including persistent identifier links such as DOIs, should be maintained to ensure proper attribution and database harvestability". Every article published in Journal Sport-Mu is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and structured XML metadata to support automated harvesting by major scholarly indexers.
