2. Independence of Editorial Decisions from Financial Considerations

  1. Editorial Objectivity: The decision to accept, revise, or reject a submitted manuscript is strictly based on academic quality, scientific merit, reviewer recommendations, and methodological rigor.

  2. Reviewer and Editor Blindness: Peer reviewers and handling editors have no access to the payment status or fee waiver requests of authors during the review process.

  3. Non-Involvement: Financial transactions and APC billing are managed separately by the administrative staff, ensuring that financial contributions do not influence editorial outcomes.

3. Fee Waiver and Discount Policy

To promote inclusivity, equity, and access for researchers worldwide, INSIGHT: Jurnal Pemikiran dan Penelitian Psikologi offers a transparent fee waiver and discount policy:

  • Eligibility: Authors who face financial hardship, or corresponding authors affiliated with institutions in Research4Life Low-Income Countries, are eligible to apply for a full or partial waiver.

  • Application Procedure: Authors must request a fee waiver during the initial manuscript submission process by contacting the editorial office. Waiver requests are evaluated strictly on a case-by-case administrative basis.

  • Impartial Assessment: Waiver applications or discount grants do not affect the peer review workflow or manuscript acceptance criteria.

4. Payment Terms and Post-Publication Integrity

  • Payment Timing: APC invoices are issued only after formal manuscript acceptance. Payment must be completed prior to the final online publication of the formatted article.

  • Scholarly Record Preservation: Once an article is accepted and published, it permanently enters the scholarly record and will not be retracted, removed, or altered due to subsequent financial or billing disputes.
