Pengaruh Kompetensi Terhadap Innovative Work Behavior Pada Dosen Perguruan Tinggi Di Kabupaten Jember

This study aims to examine the effect of competence on innovative work behavior among university lecturers in Jember Regency. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 322 lecturers in Jember Regency selected using an accidental sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were a Competence Scale adapted from Ghazali et al. (2023) and an Innovative Work Behavior scale. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The results indicated that competence had a significant effect on innovative work behavior (F = 191.553; p < 0.001; β = 0.578), with a contribution of 38%. These findings suggest that higher levels of competence, covering self-development, personal effectiveness, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are associated with higher levels of innovative work behavior among lecturers.
