Pengaruh Person-Job Fit Terhadap Occupational Commitment Pada Guru TK

This study aims to examine the effect of person-job fit on occupational commitment among kindergarten teachers in Jember. The method used was a quantitative research design with a correlational approach. The respondents were 146 ABA kindergarten teachers in Jember, selected using proportional random sampling with the criteria of having at least a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year of work experience. The research instruments included the Person-Job Fit Scale adapted from Cable and DeRue (α = 0.857) and the Occupational Commitment Scale adapted from Blau (α = 0.837). The results of simple regression analysis showed that person-job fit has a significant effect on occupational commitment among kindergarten teachers (R = 0.660; R² = 0.435; F = 113; p < 0.001). These findings indicate that the higher the alignment between individual characteristics (values, goals, interests, preferences, talents, experience, and education) and job as well as organizational characteristics, the higher the individual’s commitment to their profession. This study concludes that person-job fit is an important factor in enhancing teachers’ occupational commitment. Future research is recommended to involve a broader population, not limited to ABA kindergarten teachers in Jember, in order to improve the generalizability of the findings.
