Electronic Filing
Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis Indonesia is dedicated to ensuring the long-term digital preservation and electronic filing of all published scholarly content, reflecting the high standards of editorial and management responsibility outlined in the COPE Core Practices. In accordance with the ethical requirements that a journal's electronic archiving must be clearly defined and strictly followed, we implement robust preservation strategies, aligning with COPE's principles on digital preservation and electronic backups.
1. Digital Preservation Strategy
-
Continuous Archiving: All published articles, issues, and associated metadata are systematically backed up on a continuous basis. This ensures that the digital record of scholarship remains intact and accessible even in the event of unforeseen technical failures, in line with the COPE Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.
-
Third-Party Repositories: To guarantee long-term access, the journal deposits its published content in recognized third-party digital preservation services (e.g., PKP Preservation Network, LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, or Portico). This decentralized approach safeguards the scholarly record, adhering to the COPE guidelines for robust electronic archiving.
2. Post-Publication Access and Maintenance
-
Persistent Identifiers: Every published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure a permanent and reliable link to the electronic file, facilitating accurate citation and tracking over time.
-
Journal Discontinuation Contingency: In the unlikely event that Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis Indonesia ceases publication, the editorial board is committed to maintaining access to the existing archives through the designated third-party preservation networks, ensuring that past scholarship remains accessible to the academic community, as strongly recommended by the COPE Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.
