AUTHOR FEES AND APC POLICY

Author Fees and APC Policy
Tarlim: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam is committed to complete transparency regarding all financial policies and author charges associated with manuscript evaluation and publication. In strict compliance with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, all publication fees, Article Processing Charges (APCs), and associated costs are explicitly declared on our website prior to manuscript submission so that potential authors are fully informed before submitting their work.
Article Processing Charge (APC) Amount
For every manuscript accepted for publication, the journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 750,000 (Rp 750.000). There are no fees charged for article submission or preliminary editorial evaluation.
Separation of Fees and Editorial Decisions
The journal specifies that any author fees charged cover administrative costs, digital object identifier (DOI) assignment, copyediting, layout formatting, and long-term digital preservation. To protect academic independence, the journal ensures that financial operations are strictly separated from editorial decision-making, in accordance with COPE guidelines regarding sound journal management principles. The ability to pay an APC or request a fee waiver has absolutely no influence on the peer review process, reviewer evaluations, or editorial decisions to accept or reject a manuscript.
Fee Waiver Policy
To ensure that financial limitations never prevent the publication of worthy academic research in Islamic education, Tarlim offers a transparent fee waiver and discount policy for authors from low-income nations or those demonstrating genuine financial hardship. Providing accessible waiver options aligns directly with the journal's commitment to uphold the highest core practices of ethical scholarly publishing by ensuring fair access to publishing opportunities regardless of institutional funding.
Prevention of Unethical Financial Exploitation
All financial transactions, fee schedules, and waiver application procedures are explicitly detailed and accessible without hidden charges. This uncompromising transparency is intentionally maintained to distinguish Tarlim from deceptive predatory publishing practices where fee collection is prioritized over rigorous peer review and academic quality control.
