FOCUS AND SCOPE

FOCUS AND SCOPE
Tarlim Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing scholarly discourse and research within the field of Islamic educational studies. In steadfast alignment with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, our journal clearly defines its aims, target readership, and the specific types of manuscripts considered for publication to prevent any misleading assumptions from potential authors and readers.
Focus
The primary focus of the journal encompasses both theoretical explorations and empirical research within Islamic Religious Education (PAI). We encourage scholarly contributions that examine educational philosophy, learning theories, and the foundational aspects of curriculum development. Our objective is to serve as a definitive platform for research that continuously elevates the highest ethical and scholarly standards within this specialized academic domain.
Scope
To maintain academic rigor and ensure that editors can effectively manage out-of-scope content prior to the review process, the journal delineates specific areas of interest. We welcome original research, literature studies, and rigorous quantitative or qualitative methodologies covering, but not limited to, the following scopes:
  • Educational curriculum foundations and the philosophy of Islamic education.
  • Pedagogical competencies, learning theories, and teacher integration strategies in PAI.
  • The practical insertion of multicultural values and inclusive paradigms into core instructional subjects, such as mathematics and sciences within Islamic schools.
  • Innovative educational models, including love-based curriculum design and the strengthening of moderate character (wasatiyah).
All manuscripts submitted within this scope are expected to represent original academic efforts. Authors must ensure they genuinely create an idea or develop the publication that disseminates that intellectual or creative work relevant to these specialized topics. Furthermore, to uphold the integrity of the journal's defined scope, all submissions will undergo a stringent evaluation to promote accurate communication and trust in research. Submissions that do not fall within the outlined scope will be responsibly declined by the editorial board prior to peer review.
